When an old driver dies in a freak ticket machine explosion, a petty cold war erupts between two rival bus depots.

Caught in the middle is Jamie Penrice — a soft-spoken trainee with no clue what he’s doing, a semi-feral ferret for a mentor, and the unfortunate honor of being assigned the most cursed route in the city.

Between sabotage, biscuit diplomacy, and an underground bus race through a haunted loop, Jamie must survive his first week without being pranked, hazed, or possibly kidnapped.

D J Mack is the author of The Drivers Union: A Bus Race, a Ghost, and Twelve stops to Nowhere. D J was born in the heart of the East End of London in the 1960s. Hackney at this time was a very rough neighbourhood. He worked for many years in the Financial Services Industry and for the past 20 years in transport.
